Submitted Program

Take active part in the scientific program of WOC2020 by submitting your research under one of the 26 available topics. In Cape Town, four presentation categories will be available: Oral Communications, Instruction Courses, e-Posters, and e-videos.

Subspecialty Day

The invited program includes 244 sessions, spread over four days, addressing all subspecialties and related interests in ophthalmology. The first day will be dedicated to latest advances and developments in the following subspecialties: Cataract & Lens Surgery, Cornea & External Eye Diseases, Glaucoma, Medical Retina, Ocular Trauma, Orbital, Oculoplastics & Lacrimal Diseases, Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, Refractive Surgery, Surgical Retina and Uveitis.

Worldwide Program Contributions

Over the course of the Congress, 179 ICO Member Societies from all over the world will participate in the program, for instance by organizing a Society Symposium. More information on the sessions will follow.

WOC Breakfast Club

Join the experts for breakfast! Experienced doctors from around the world will lead discussions on the latest ophthalmological trends in a casual and sociable environment. The intent is to encourage participants to question assumptions and fully engage in the learning experience. More information to follow.

WOC Skills Transfer Program (Wetlabs)

The WOC2020 will offer the most extensive Skills Transfer Program ever presented at a World Ophthalmology Congress. The program will comprise of skills training courses in topics of Cataract, Cornea, Glaucoma, Ocular Trauma, Oculoplastics and Refractive Surgery, though by world-class instructors. This is a unique opportunity to develop your techniques in a wet or dry lab environment, as well as gain experience with the latest ophthalmologic technology. More information to follow.
